  1. Open the Minecraft Launcher:
    • Open your Minecraft Launcher from your desktop or Start menu.
    • Make sure you’re signed in with your Microsoft or Mojang account.
  2. Go to the Installations Tab:
    • Click on the Installations tab at the top of the launcher window. This section allows you to manage different versions of Minecraft.
  3. Create a New Installation:
    • Click on New Installation to create a profile specifically for version 1.21.X.
  4. Name Your Installation:
    • Give this installation a name (e.g., “Minecraft 1.21.X”) to make it easy to identify.
  5. Select Version:
    • In the Version dropdown menu, scroll until you find release 1.21.X and select it.
    • This dropdown lists all official Minecraft versions, so make sure to scroll to the 1.21.X release and not the latest version if that's different.
  6. Choose Game Directory (Optional):
    • If you want to keep saves, mods, or resource packs separate for this installation, you can specify a custom game directory. This is optional but can help organize multiple installations.
  7. Configure More Options (Optional):
    • Under “More Options,” you can adjust the JVM Arguments to allocate more RAM if needed, but be cautious as this can affect game performance.
  8. Save the Installation:
    • Once configured, click Create or Save to add this installation to your list.
  9. Play Minecraft 1.21.X:
    • Go back to the Play tab.
    • Next to the green Play button, use the dropdown menu to select your newly created installation (e.g., “Minecraft 1.21.X”).
    • Click Play to start the game on version 1.21.X.
  10. Confirm the Version in-Game (Optional):
    • Once Minecraft loads, check the bottom left of the title screen to ensure it shows “Minecraft 1.21.X.”

Now, you’re ready to play on version 1.21.X! This setup will remain saved, so you can switch between it and other versions anytime through the Launcher.
