This guide helps new ENDOS SMP families understand what to prepare before the first play session. ENDOS is a private Minecraft Java Edition server, so players need the right edition, the right username, and whitelist approval before they can join.
What you need first
- Minecraft Java Edition: ENDOS SMP runs on Java Edition. Bedrock, console editions, and Xbox-only names are not enough by themselves.
- A Microsoft account: Minecraft Java Edition uses a Microsoft account. Younger players may need parent help with this step.
- The correct Minecraft Java username: This is the username you enter on the signup form. If you are not sure, read our username guide.
- Email access: Signup includes an email confirmation step before whitelist review.
How ENDOS signup works
- Complete the signup form with the player and parent or guardian information.
- Open the confirmation email and complete that step.
- Wait for whitelist review.
- If approved, read the welcome email for connection steps, parent channels, and first-session tips.
The New Player Trail
During the first session, new players should follow a simple trail through the basics:
- Spawn: Start at the main protected area and use
/spawnif you get lost. - Starter kit: Use
/kit starterif you need beginner tools. - Home: Use
/sethomeand/homeso you can return to your base. - Claims: Learn
/claimand/claimslistbefore building something important. - Shop and community areas: Explore shared areas respectfully and follow posted signs.
- Parkour and NEXUS: Try low-pressure activities and join the weekly NEXUS when you are ready.
- Help: Use
/help, read the rules, and ask staff or a parent if something feels confusing.
Safety basics before playing
ENDOS uses whitelist access, kid-safe rules, grief protection, moderation, and reporting paths, but parents should still stay involved. Read How ENDOS Keeps Kids Safe and review the server rules together before joining.
Ready? Once you have Minecraft Java Edition and the correct username, you can apply for whitelist access.
